Not a natural type of sweetener in there it's just this sort of boggles my brain so I think I only say if you can't pronounce was on the label in May not be good for you. I think that's a good recommendation there. So many things on the label eleven what does that word. Yet death and I make a lot of my own vitamin waters here at home. And I teach when I teach my students to about drinks then. Taylor still pretty jumping here to. I like to start out with a good quality water and then used fruits and veggies and herbs. To make an infusion and make it really healthy and high trading. And so delicious that it makes you want to break it up not just have one small glass of water. That front lawn and or Shaw. They're read is that something you blend or is that something you. How do you make that. I listen you don't even have to blended. Really really easy what I do I'll give you I'll give you an example. I make something called my thought water and at some vitamin water and you know vitamin waters are all over the store I mean is shelves are full of those that. I really they you can make your own at home in less expensive first of all. And then you know exactly what goes into it so what I'll do what I make a couple different times but my most popular and easy for my student. Is what I call my Bob vitamin water and I'll start out with. A good quality water about a court because you don't wanna use water right out to cap elect it's filtered or you could certainly use distilled water. And then the reason of course we start with water we know that it hydrates are body and it also balances the fluid though even if you were just drinking playing quality water. Our bodies are about 60% water so. We need that water for not only part suggestion. But it also help our our blood circulates and it keeps the blood flowing well not only to all the parts of our bodies but especially to the heart and brain. So we need water when people ask me what my nose up favorite drink is IL he start with water. But a lot of times water especially for kids. They just don't wanna drink it you know there's no flavor their says chase so what I do without at a couple of thinly sliced lemon. And I usually buy organic but here's the pitch for those people who can't find your a four organic citrus. What you can do that you can take. Some clear vinegar in some water of one to one ratio like that cup of beach. And you can just posture lemons you're part skinned fruits into that water and squish him around for a little bit. And then take the mouth rinse drain and dry them and what that does that remove all the toxins on the outside of the season. And as you both know. Sometimes. The toxins are on the outside so that we like into something. Bacteria goes into that product so. Backing up but the dollar had a couple of just thinly like lemon. And M when you do make vitamin waters with fruit or veggies I really say. Right and then return them up multi get lots of surface area as that that infuses into the water better. And the reason I use lemon. Is of course telling us that they contain a lot of vitamin C we know that's good for our immune system. And about three people since a fresh lemon juice. Get this about 70% of what we need every day. And it is water soluble so we we can't store vitamin C and here's the thing about the lemon in this vitamin water. They. Help that burn are carved more efficiently. We know that Lemond also kept calcium and fiber. One of the most important thing about lemon waters though. Is that dilemma and the vitamin C axes genital liver cleanser and kidney cleanser. So we got that wonderful vitamin C in there and by the way I know vitamin C is that that. But it turns the lemon turns alkaline in your body says that's the good thing. And then what I'll do tailoring Darius. I grow a lot of curves of course and I'll just throw and a handful of fresh peppermint and there. And what that does that not only at five but it helped our suggestion. And what I'll do it after I get the lemon in the mid in the water out take wouldn't that is sort of push it down. And what that does it starts releasing the policy toward a tile oil in the peppermint and also puts the vitamin C into the water. And I'll tell you what. It's delicious summit. But when my kids have always liked the sweeter drink and now my grand kids of course due to. So what I'd like to add to sweeten. Its media. And Taylor I'm sure you're familiar with the media aren't you. Yes my hand gas and been very I'm I'm assuming you are as. Well certainly heard of it yes. Yeah we'll see the other let me tell you a little bit about CBS if I may I hit some time here. Yeah it's an herb and it though. And here in the midwest we called the tender perennials. It's a native of South America and you couldn't I grow the plant in this beautiful green plant. But it's the sugar substitute and it's unnatural shows sugar substitute. Though it non caloric and diabetic date which is why I love you that in my vitamin waters. And because it doesn't build bacteria up in the mouth like sugar does this really a lot healthier. And it actually hundreds of times sweeter than sugar. Have this devious that I've by I have I like you natural thing you can get it and powdered form or. Extract or liquid. It's easy it's so I can put a little bottle of my person and go out the door. But you only need if you drop the devious to sweeten the whole court of this vitamin water. And I'll tell you what it makes against K so good that you are gonna find yourself. Warning to stay hydrated. In warning to drink more water. There are so many low calorie sweeteners and artificial sweeteners and and now natural sweeteners. Taylor let me ask you what that what what does the American Diabetes Association think about these low calorie sweeteners. Just kind of in general you I think mid just having. A healthy life sell your round. And then flap of the way I grew up I'm Lebanese can we grew up on what is now touted as the Mediterranean diet. Of course we didn't know it back then but we ate very seasonably. And so what I think I guess I agree with tailored perfectly well as far as. Have a smaller site dinner plate first the ball. And then as far as making. Like the start she didn't eat meat starchy vegetables or even too much meat protein that Starr at the plate. Don't do that start filling it up with that she said the greens than non starchy greens the healthy whole whole grains. Like vocal leader he you know thinking well some of the greens that are aren't adored so quickly into your body. And then go with the starchy vegetables and the meat it doesn't mean you have to sacrifice. You get a pillar said basically you have this sort of re saying. How your plate look at what you're putting on it in with the kids when you said before. They don't like eat their greens are a that is so true you know kids often times. And Taylor I don't know how old you are but I am now Graham also I've got two generations. Stupid eaten at my people. And when my kids were little what we used to do was let them have a little pact in the garden or in a pot. And growth and healthy greens we can't like a salad garden. That that made them more aware and more interested in trying new things. But. Even it with a healthy greens you can. This guy is a whole lot of good things in Mac and cheese I have found. And I you know kids love Mac and cheese since spaghetti that you could. Generate some broccoli or some other good greens than there. And even some hail. And just don't tell them violate say they don't need to know that it's good for them don't say oh yeah others Kaelin there or there's some broccoli in the there's lots of ways but I think you have to start out small. You can't just you know bombard them with a lot of healthy food that they're not used to eating them. How the American diet changed over the years real. Oh my god. I think today were first the ball for a lot more aware of what we're eating don't you think that Taylor would be I'm more educated. Especially with things like diabetes affect me when I was a kid I never even heard the word people would say oh they've got that she has too much sugar. In her system and that's how it was described. But I think the awareness. With people like Taylor and in the American diabetes that association. Has brought into the forefront how to eat healthy and you know what little changes make a big big difference. And the thing about sugar is. I mean it's been just about everything so you can use substitute. The issue girl with sun media you know a natural sweetener. Again not caloric diabetic based hundreds of times sweeter than sugar you're gonna find your healthier. And you gonna feel better too. I think that's all water you were describing earlier sounds pretty fantastic. Quality is being you know I tell people what they don't have fresh mint what they can do that that they just take the lemon. And the media and the water and make healthy drink. Oh my gosh you're gonna do their body good and by the way people don't know this but you can read a lemon. And I you can freeze them naked after that there candid during the deputies set them or just freed them hole if you ever find them on sale in grocery. Freed them hold because the freezing process doesn't. Aspect of vitamin C contest he does but not freezing so long. I encourage all my students that the first thing you do that first drink the water that you have in the morning at least put the squeeze of Lebanon there.
