You you might have a little extra weight on him just a few pounds you're not incredibly overweight but like most people you could stand to lose a little bit. And like me you've probably tried he's tried donating you've tried exercising Freddy Keiaho there's always that stubborn last little little weight. You can't quite get rid of well I have a gentleman with me today as our guest doctor Dorian Quinn who has discovered over the course of his career so much some commonalities. As to why this is happening and he believes he's got a secret that might help you out. How are you doctor. Period. To start off please give our listeners a little bit of background on yourself -- how you came to be doing this. Okay I made doctor prior tracking and collection that -- interest. And I've been practicing for 26 years. And in our scope of practice and these fields our goal really is to help people intruder help. And so and the courses that we want to evaluate and determine why a company it happening with the person. And there's there's a reason why a Christian has seen there's a reason why people have different ailments. There's also a reason why a person's gonna be carrying. More wage and they need to or want to so we have ways to determine what that trigger is for that person. And -- system with fast. So as something that is a little different for every person capsule on key element that makes a lot of sense. And his -- not all the same each of us a snowflake. I think. I have so you have to begin do you mean -- seminars where you invite people in their free seminars where you talk about. What could possibly be that cause track so what led you to do just that to jump from your chiropractic work you have focusing on weight loss. Well what -- -- years is that a lot of kinds of people chronic pain. It's because her body is not functioning and it's optimum. So. Whether stiffness it's fatigue it's it's not sleeping well it's I mean. Wade is always or often times a part of that. And. A lot of times people no other stretch. They know how to. -- do certain activities that can keep amount of pain but they don't necessarily know. -- what they can do to improve their metabolism. To get a hold of that -- And so. We act as any as a resource to again. Evaluate what's happening with them individually. And identify what that is and basically walking through the process because this is like anything else it's part of that. Healing process. Where if they do the right steps in the right sequence during it to results that they want. So -- the bodies basically trying to heal on the end and we do things to stop that from happening now try to and I say. Of course there's been a lot of talk in the media a lot of Taka just among people in general. About. Good question first one -- defined what obesity in this -- obesity. Is having too much body fat -- relative to the rest of the body. Peso. What we do is where we take measurements. And these -- -- to see how much faster as compared to muscle. And bone and water. And based on a person's age there -- age is there -- way. We measure these things kind of a man has greater than 25%. Fat. Relative to everything else. He's considered obese and powerful woman has greater than 35%. She considered obese. Now what's interest being as the government contracting this for a long time because our culture our society we're starting to really see. -- an uptick in a lot of other chronic diseases such as. Diabetes. Right rheumatoid arthritis things like that these often times are related to. Obesity. And other dysfunction in the body so the -- looking at this because they wanna -- -- predict. Healthcare trends and cost. So as 2007. This study showed that approximately. 25%. Of the US population is obese while yes and -- -- group. 66%. Are adults and alarmingly. 34% are children so in terms of real numbers if we. -- calculate the US population at 300 million and we're actually a little -- that now right 25% of that population that equals. The at least five million people being affected while now here's another interesting concept and that. Obesity is usually associated with being overweight. And -- killed usually hear both present the same time however since at least is a relative amount of fat compared to the rest of the body. A person who as normal or low body weight can still be a beast if derailed effect contest is still too high. Okay I see -- say it's not necessarily. You know you're this -- -- should be this wait that's right it's more about the the. Portion of the money that's exactly right so I keep people all the time who have normal body weight. And for their -- but they still have a greater than 35% fat Tyson's. There that they get this is because oftentimes they restrict their calories -- And restricting calories triggers the body distort facts right conditions starvation mode right. Fashion models are notorious for this and we call this being skinny fat. So kind to -- It makes sense in a way that I have really thought about it before also you know we're looking at all the talk about. Health care and then it rising health costs and all that that all ties into this because if you are. Obese or are worried a little overweight that's causing all these other health problems. Actually ranked. So let's talk about all the various diets that we hear about certainly you get earnings from actions to whatever you know the weekly world news has this week. As you know the chocolate diet or whatever they've got going -- these don't work. Well. -- it depends on what the person's goal list the these goals or of these plans. Can be effective. In losing weight because there's there's no doubt about it. And they usually involved. Are restricting calories and and they usually involved. Hopefully some type of exercise. But the point I wanna really emphasizes. It's not about losing -- about burning fat. And having that healthy ratio. Fat to lean muscle mass to bone and water and -- a person hasn't erased the ratio. There are metabolism. Are automatically start to function better. So what I tell people is that. They don't need to lose weight as much as they need to to burn fat. And and the slimmed down because most people are coming in usually because. They may want to change how they look at most of whom already are fatigued. Especially by the end of the day. They can to have a chronic aches and these. They often times have things like acid reflux. Oftentimes they have blood sugar issues. Concentration headaches and if we elect and a program. That show us. Concentrate on weight loss inhaled colorless as they're ten or twenty years thirty -- whatever it is. And at the end that they still have low energy in the can't sleep. -- how often that they really haven't. Benefited. So health factors. Get back to hear your question is that there there are many health related problems. And it's also here with body fat so. When you look at top vice that we see it puts a burden on the heart and circulatory system -- or talking about cholesterol. The fat cells also a lot of people don't know this that the fat cells also stored toxins. They accumulate in the body from chemicals in the food and our environment. So it's very very common now what you eat out of a bag boxer can't write the only way that we -- know last -- a lot of chemicals and. Right and so as we take these chemical then the body's gonna try to protect itself and isolate those toxins by destroying -- fast. Well. Yeah this is so that's -- -- that -- fat triggering response. So what we do we is. I already know the reality of it is that we're all very busy. Right we're you know -- work all day. And so. There have to be and that information passed on wild of the person eat healthy that's not out of the canned boxed. We're ball and it's still. Supporting toxins -- stored at the nutrients they need. And so there's a lot of education around there are ways to deal with the excuse about being informed because nobody. -- purposely make decisions to harm their health that is lacking information. Right so. So. So that diets. All focused on low calories very very popular one right now as each CGK. Next entry human. Korea nickel and had a trophy and that is actually a pregnancy hormone. And when women are pregnant they released this and it's. They feel better and all these things women actually feel good when they're pregnant most of the time. And what does -- worry is that this hormone will help. Spare Muslim burn fat all the studies. Do you do not bear that out. And the other piece today CGI and that they can be about 500 calories a day. So it just starvation diet so this say that. The trick the brain thinking -- -- cannot get in the body of the calories it needs -- don't starvation mode. And you back stories that's exactly right. My -- so the point being seen as it's not about losing weight it's about burning fat and keeping it off. By educating a person. And giving them the tools so they can make the right choices. Every day is every meal in every time we have a craving is something you have to make a choice. And so when so we want to teach people how to make the choices so it's actually a long lasting. Ultimately your -- and true except the ultimate goal. Right overall not just for many say it actually it might actually might. Now let's get -- you -- do a little bit what you're solution is. A lot of that comes down to as we've talked about fat burning here but. There result hormone that doesn't that does this for you -- tell me about -- -- brain hormone okay. There's actually group local okay and other ones have all heard out of home. The main three. This thyroid and we've all heard -- -- and it's basically the CEO of our metabolism so. And you know various chemicals in our brain that trigger that fire early this cleric releases. Basically kind of in a box where we have to eat foods that are convenient because. Most of us don't have kind of grow our own organic garden and income from scratch every night. So these chemicals preservatives all the things we've been hearing about all the time actually accumulate and in -- fat cells that also affect her liver. -- if far liver. Is not working properly cannot process -- hormone and therefore he's not in fat burning mode. We show people how to detoxify the liver in a safe effective way so they can increase and that's very important fact turning hormone. When 2530 pounds overweight current I'll get myself to about you know they'll lose fifteen to twenty -- and then that last ten more than thrust right that is really hard to do so there is this something that's going to help -- that -- -- absolutely. Food is the more enzymes that are that are fresh vegetables fresh fruits and so forth. And as that the body breaks down the food. The more unique. Or the more separated the food is the more effectively end times are -- to explain a little bit more detail so. Pro team requires different enzymes and and carbohydrates. -- -- and so. It's always better to. Digest proteins. Away from cars. Interest is so if you go home if you go to up your favorite. Steak house and you have a big stake and a baked potato. You'd wanna be one of them. You will only one of the Q you would -- -- them both together because what happens this. The enzymes are not enough to break and the food that food began to sit in your stomach. And increase its search and unpleasant. Pure protein and vegetables. That's given your body the opportunity to properly. Digest the food. So what happens there is then you're actually absorbing nutrients. When your nutrients. A world where they're supposed to be it stabilizes blood sugar. And the Pletcher stable -- and fat burning mode. The same -- Now another. All Honda last -- its people. Is fruit. K we liked that we like our fruits and our fruit lots of vitamins and minerals and enzymes. Fruit because of all the sugar. I think I've got that one right don't they have to eat -- with a -- and it's usually on its own -- and apple in between. You know the banana center. So now one by you may you may be rethink my steak and potatoes and -- exactly. Because again no one ever told you right you know you're not -- consciously do it if you if you know better. Right well I might. So it's a month so that's the other thing that happens is when we get to right put sugar based on absorption of the nutrients. Is that it also reduces crane thinks. Interest and we'll see already just this last couple minutes you've told me quite a few things that could never even really thought about it. I mean I'd -- that but say it does make sense then did you know when I when I've been in my diets and I get the recommendation has seen a nutritionist. Right I'm thinking about combinations of -- they've they've told me to have time and that's all make a lot of sense great interest in.
